Dinner at the Riverside Grill in Hood River week of 8 1 2005

On one of the beautiful warm and wind free evenings we occasionally have in the gorge mine was recently made more enjoyable by having a wonderful dining experience on the deck of the Riverside Grill located in the Hood River Inn.

The large deck overlooking the river with all of the water sports abounding and the overhead sails for shade, it is just a superb location to sit and enjoy a great meal with wonderful atmosphere. There are so few locations in the gorge that offer this up front proximity to the river, finding a spot to thoroughly enjoy it is a real treat. For the days that are much too windy to dine outdoors the dining room also affords wonderful views from all locations.

Now let’s get to the important part, the dinner. The restaurant offers a wide variety of entrees appealing to a wide realm of tastes from gourmet salads to creative steak choices. I enjoyed my dining experience with a group of five individuals with a very wide range of personalities and taste. From the Chicken Oscar, Salmon with a wonderful Berry sauce or the Deluxe Cheeseburger everyone was delighted with their choices.

The service was very pleasant, having a waiter with professional character and a quick wit. Our every need was attended. Beginning with choices from the full bar to delectable dessert choices and everything in between this was a very outstanding dining experience

I chose to enjoy an evening experience but they also offer breakfast and lunch dining as well as banquet facilities.

I will definitely choose this facility to take advantage of another lovely summer evening with great atmosphere, food and friends.
